This is my last post...

... of the year. hehe : p

Huuuu… I can’t believe 2009 is about to close its curtains. 2009 went by so fast. It was new year 2009, my 1st practicum, Kris Allen won American Idol, assignments, H1N1 came, 2nd practicum, exam, Tiger Woods cheated on his wife, haik… it’s going to be another new year lagi~!

My 2009 Recap:

I’ve always wanted people to ask me, “Do you wanna hear the good news or the bad news?” Then I’d say, “Bad news.” Hohoho

So that’s why, I’ll recap on the bad things first.

a) In January, I had to retake my calculus exam.

Was worried like hell.

b) At the same time, I had some problems with the hostel. The lecturer was such a bitch snob. Wanted her ass to be kissed. Ceh, I'm no ass kisser. <--- very-very harsh but this is how I feel about her huhu

c) Again, with the hostel. You see our hostel is divided into 2, the one below the hill and the one on the hill. We lived in the below hostel and were asked to move to the hostel on the hill. Huu… our stuff is not sedikit okay… And then in the middle of semester, our room was told to be emptied and we had to move to the upper floor. Grrr…

d) I missed The Cheapskates trip to Sipadan Island~! I was saving for my HK trip.

e) HK trip cancelled~! Due to H1N1. Double boo~! Kasian...

f) Had butterfingers and dropped the car key into a dirty and smelly drain~!

g) Practicum is hell. 2009 gave me 2 practicums~!!! T_T

With my year 2 kids hohoho

h) Allowance in lump-sum. 6 months worth of allowance is given in one go. WTH?!

Since then, I found myself so broke, I can practically see my purse shrink like a raisin. I think there’s even a spider web inside. That's how poor I am huuuuu....

i) MQA. Money suckers and time killer~! I hate... making folders from Semester1 was a pain in the ass. At that time we weren't pushed to complete our folders (so being the lazy students we are, we didn't).

j) Quit Japanese class : ( I wanted to learn more but what to do, the place was far and money continued to go extinct in my world.

Haih… feel so down la typing about things that bothers me….

These kept me up throughout the year~!
a) Got myself a new handphone and digital camera~!

b) Participated in KAGUM at Johore.

Panas... hehe Nora looks like someone from Southpark~!

Shame on me, I don’t know what KAGUM is (Kejohanan …somethingsomething... Malaysia). Basically all the wakil from each Institut Perguruan in Malaysia will compete with each other. Sort of like the IP Olympics. I participated in badminton.

My doubles partner, Scholastica.

I think her name is cool. We lost, but it was a great experience. Though she's younger than me, we had a blast chatting, gossiping and we love to eat~!!!

Our captain in red~!

c) A Night to Remember~!
Our Maths Dinner huhuhu I was not expecting much when I booked the hotel party room but I was utterly surprised at the stage (can I call it that hehe), it was beautiful, with the lights and all.

Obviously taken from Elly's fb

I seriously thought they would just make the 'A Night to Remember' with polystrene. But nooo.... hehehe it was pretty~!

I won the game~! hehehe where you have to stop dancing when the music stops huhuhu

d) Played violin for the first time in my life~! I like playing the violin huhuhu But piano is my love.

e) I turned 22~!

I murdered Mr. Krabs. Spongebob is now my slave huohoho

f) Worked at my dad’s rubber plantation site (hahaha he just started to plant the rubber plants!)

The makeshift bridge was scary~! But still can pose there huhu

g) Started Japanese Language class~! Enrolled with Cory, Dudu, and Epa. Yoshie sensei was very animated and everything she does is cute hohoho

h) Moved out from the historic hostel into an apartment with 5 of my friends.

i) Planned some trips with friends and family for 2010. Hope nothing goes wrong, no epidermic like swine flu, whale flu or something will break out.

j) My sister gave birth to a baby girl, Davienna~! Now I have 2 nieces and 1 nephew huhuhu

My sister and Davienna~!

I hope 2010 will be an even more wonderful year~! (I hope my daruma doll works~! Ngiahahaha) Have a happy, eventful, great new year 2010~! <3

I think life is like a road. Through each turn, hills and road blocks, its best shared with friends and family. And sometimes strangers too... incase our car broke down and we need to hitch-hike~!

I <3 this pic, I dunno why huhu It's like we were searching for Mr. Krabs together.

I'm suddenly strucked by reality

Time flies? Huhuhu

Urgh... the ugly truth, or whatever you may call it. Class starts next week~!

Upon reading Jamilah's blog, I realized that time for my carefree days are ticking away... huhuhu : (

No more lazy-ing all day, internet 24/7, free home food... That's not gonna happen in the coming weeks. Geez...

The thing I hate will come the week after the new semester starts, practicum~! If there's one thing that ticks me off more than rude drivers, it's practicum. haih... practicum sucks.

Well, on a side note, New Year is fast approaching~! The start of a new day, some people call it. A day to make a resolution, start doing something new, abandon a bad habit, ... just to get a fresh start at life.

Me?

I just want my school holiday~! Teehee... Let's tangkap the time~!

Milo ping? (and pretty toilets hehe)

Ohohoho as I'm typing, I just sipped my milo sejuk (I call it that)~!!! wuhuuuuu absolute satisfaction~! Instead of wallowing in self-pity, I decided to enjoy a nice cup of milo sejuk. <3 <3 <3 Milo sejuk~!!!

<3

It's super easy to make hehe Put some milo in the cup along with susu pekat/sugar (whichever you like) and pour cold water. Voila~! You're done. In my case, I like to put some more milo on top hehe

This is silly, teaching people how to make milo. The other day, my mum dissed a certain cooking magazine because they were teaching people how to fry fish. "Who doesn't know how to fry a fish?!", my mum said incredulously.

Epa likes milo. She said it's so yummy yum yum but it makes her poo hard. lol That's not the case for me, milo sejuk makes me go visit the toilet (I already have the urge to do #2 now hoho).

I googled for pretty toilets and what I noticed that people make all sorts of interesting urinals for men but none for women.

Dreamt of skiing? Why don't take a dump and sky at the same time?

Shell shaped. Wonder if you lean close and put your ear beside the opening, can you hear the crashing of waves on the beach?

Looks pretty scary and dirty~!

Oh look, one of her teeth is gold-coloured~! Don't forget to smile while you pee guys, you can pay for your picture at the entrance. Gah... wouldn't that be freaky~!

His shirt is cute~! Pandaaaaaa~!

Comes with live fish too~!

Naughty~!

School toilet, maybe?

I'd imagine Barn Buddy's office toilet is like this hoho

My fav~! Bling toilet huhuhu

Imagine cleaning this baby.... XD

Most of the pictures I took from this site huhuhu http://nowthatsnifty.blogspot.com/2009/05/unique-and-strange-toilets-and-urinals.html There's even a dissapearing toilet~! Go check it out huhu

p/s: Dunno why the pictures wont go to the center...

Freaks me out~!

If you've been my passenger before, you'll know that when I drive, I'm very noisy hahaha not noisy chitchatting but noisy cursing other drivers hohoho

I hate rude drivers.

I just don't have the courage or boldness to let it out like this uncle hohoho

Gah... Here's my top 10 drivers that I hate (I can only think to 10~! >.<)
They're not in chronological order huhu I just typed as I recalls the a**hol*s that raged me : )

1. Drivers talking on a cellphone or talking with the passengers.

Most of the time, people who talks on the cell would slow down like reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly slow down, an L driver puts them to shame. Does handsfree rings a bell?

2. Changing lanes without giving out signals.

The signal was made with a purpose you know. I hate it that when I'm going 90km/hour on the highway and suddenly there's a car swerving into my lane. Geez~! It freaks me out okay. What's more, the dude casually drives ever so slowly in front of me. WTH!!!!!

3. Perasan he's going over the speed limit. Drives slowly on the right side of the road. What makes it worse? Another car driving slowly on the left side (he's not doing anyting wrong though, he IS on the left side). So, the two cars drive side by side, leaving you no choice but to follow their stride. : (

4. Drivers who wants to sniff my butt so much. They go so fast, eventhough the left lane is completely car-less they don't wanna overtake me. I say, sniff my butt j*ckas*~! I ain't changing lanes for you.

Too close for comfort

5. There was this one time, the car was moving slowly so in my logic mind, I overtake him lah. Then, the car suddenly moved so fast, like the driver was suddenly blessed with super driving skills and started to sniff my butt (no.4 once again). After so long, (I wasn't going to budge!) he finally overtake me and went way ahead, but not before giving me a look that says 'You pathetic girl, eat my fart!'.

6. Mean drivers are everywhere~! I remember when I still got that red P sticker, they like to stare like I'm some kind of retard. As far as I know, I didn't do anything wrong. Back then, whenever my mom was driving the car, she would take down the stickers huhuhu

7. Drivers who takes too much space to park. Some would park his car using 2 parking lots.

Speaking of parking, huh... getting a parking spot in KK is a headache! I once drove to Segama and went round and round looking for a parking spot. My mum and I decided to just go home without ever leaving the car~! hohoho

Wouldn't this be nice?

8. Car that makes too big of a noise. It annoys me to the max~!

9. Drivers who drives on the shoulder of the road. What's the hurry? Everyone needs to hurry too ba... I hate it that I'm so skema and gets bullied by people who makes their own lane (shoulder of road). T.T

10. Lastly, I hate the road. The roads here is full with pot-holes and its uneven, sometimes I'd feel roadsick (if I'm not the one behind the wheel) travelling around.

Hehehehe I do make some of the offences I listed. I try not to because I become irate when others do it huhu

I just hope nobody would flash me the finger~! (>.<)

Warning: If you're tired and sleepy, don't drive~! Please take a break and get some rest. Value your life (and the people who are counting on you for their life).

Merry Christmas guys~!

I wish all of you a merry and joyful Christmas~!!!

I'll go to church on Christmas Eve(eh, that's tonight huhu) and on the 25th, mmm... haven't planned anything yet. I guess I'll just be home. I know, I know, my life is as empty as my bank account.

Guess I'll just enjoy these last days of my break away from studying again. Gah... suddenly there's a rainy cloud above my head. T.T

Anyway, the new year is coming. Have you thought of your new year resolution? (I might!)

Till my next post, muuuuahhhh~!

Make your wish come true

Ahh... been so down these days. Lots of problem (75% money problem hoho) and sometimes I just can't sleep thinking how to solve the problems. Aaargh... I hope everything turns out right without me sacrificing a kidney, left ear and a gall bladder.

Anyway, I bought a Daruma doll (Dharma doll) the other day.

This is a Daruma Doll. Huhu I've seen this doll before in numerous Japanese dramas and animes. So what is this doll all about?

"Regarded more as a talisman of good luck to the Japanese. Daruma dolls are seen as a symbol of perseverance and good luck, making them a popular gift of encouragement." -Wikipedia

Daruma doll comes in different sizes. The kanji beneath the face reads chikara which means strength.

I bought my Daruma from Daiso. I thought it was a good decoration item. Plus, maybe it can make my dream come true hoho Here's how you use the Daruma doll. You make a wish, then you paint the Daruma's right eye. Like so:

My Daruma. I don't know what the kanji says hoho

You can only paint the other eye when you get what you wish for. I think this doll acts as a means for us to keep track of  our goals or big tasks and motivates us to work to the finish. In this way, every time we see the one-eyed Daruma, we recall the goal. One explanation how this custom started says that in order to motivate Daruma-san to grant your wish, you promise to give him full sight once the goal is accomplished.

My wish? Hoho I won't tell... but what if it comes true? I will definitely, positively and surely tell~!!! If it didn't, well I guess Daruma-san will have to be one-eyed lah huhuhu Don't worry Daruma-san, I'm not so mean, I'll get you an eye patch~! : )

I love objects like this hohoho The things I like when I go to shops is to look at the lucky cat, Maneki Neko. You know, the one that waves its arm as if calling you to buy that RM1++ shoes~! Grrr... no wonder I'm penniless. : (

This Maneki Neko waves it's left arm. It is supposed to call customers.

This one waves it's right arm, which is to beckon fortune, money, etc.

If I put a lot Maneki Neko infront of my house, would it attract a lot of money???

Fancy a drive?

I remember the feeling of driving a car for the first time. It was so fun and self-satisfying~! Long, long time ago, my sister and I used to sneak behind my dad and drive our car (a green Mitsubishi Gallant, not the new version, the really old one!) and tried reversing it, stop and making it go forward into the garage. ohohohoho

I was 13 years old when I first drove the car just reverse and forward again and again~! Such an adrenaline rush~! (both because of the excitement of driving and you'll never know when dad would wake up from his afternoon nap!). Gradually, I got braver and drove around the housing area just round and round and round... : )

So, when I first got my lisence, I was proud to drive my mom or sister around hohohoho My mom and sister was happy to let me, I always wondered why they didn't want to drive. Ceh, such an innocent thought huhu

Nowadays, I'm so sick of driving. So much that to even move the car is such a hassle to me. If I had a little sister or brother, I'd ask him/her to drive me around muahahahaha

The driver

You see, we have 4 cars in our household and we have such a small space for parking and we have to stack the cars in 2X2 manner. So, when my brother's car is parked infront and my sister's car is blocking him, guess who is told to go and move the car? Yeah, you guessed right, moi.

Driving in the rain. I was at a parking lot waiting for my mom hoho

Huhuhu my sister's car is seriously over-pooh-ed.

I wonder how is it to be driven around. I think being an heiress is such an incredible thing~! Tons of money, have drivers to drive you around and pick you up, people to do everything for you... wow~! Huuuuu... just dreaming about it is wonderful~!

Finally???

Let's face it, I never win contests.

I suck at making slogans.

Never had good luck.

Not creative enough.

Kit Kat contest, Maggi contest, Walls contest, you name it, I never win any.

4D? Hmmmph... yeah, right.

My dad is luckier, he won Shell's more kilometer contest. He won RM300 worth of gas.

Me? *Big sigh*

So, I was surprised when I saw this while eating ice-cream~!!! ohohohoho

My first island getaway

Pulau Tiga or Tiga Island. The latter sounds so funny to me I don't know why hoho It is sometimes referred as Survivor Island because yes, the reality show Survivor (first season) was filmed in that island. I was so addicted to that show~!!! But now I'm more of an Amazing Race fan huhu

Epa, Dudu, Ninang, Cory and I made it to Pulau Tiga last year (and I only bothered to blog about this now?!).

We were actually in Beaufort for our School Based Experience for a week. We went to see the Proboscis Monkey and fireflies at Kota Klias. Truth be told, the ride in the boat looking at monkeys were not so fun. It was exciting for the first half hour but man, 3 hours looking at monkeys?

The gem of the place was definitely the firelies. So beautiful~!!! They were illuminating the trees, kinda reminds me of Christmas trees hoho sooooo pretty~! Sadly, the ride to see the fireflies was only like 10 minutes. We were only starting to register the view when the boat started and we went back to the jetty. Though the view cannot be captured (by my digicam, anyway), it is forever embedded in my mind. So pretty X 146472712982183.

My mom said that back in her time, there's no need to pay to look at fireflies. If only Doraemon were mine~!

After Beaufort, we went to my kampung, Kuala Penyu.

Stayed one night in my dad's kampung house. I figured I should take my friends to Sawangan Beach, where we can see Pulau Tiga in the distance.

Sawangan Beach, I used to go here everytime I went balik kampung huhu

Is that a timun laut? What's that in English, sea cucumber? I was so afraid that I would step into one, there's actually many of them there~!!!

Because the trip to Pulau Tiga was eons ago, I shall do my best to remember it~! We took a boat from Kuala Penyu to Pulau Tiga. It took about 30minutes for us to get there. I just love boat rides. I like the wind in my hair, the splashes of water and just the thought of having fun later huhu

We didn't plan to stay overnight in the island. Instead we planned to just take the day tour and get back in the evening. Huhu We're such cheapskates~! It was desperate times okay, if not, we would've stayed.

From Kuala Penyu jetty headed to Pulau Tiga

Cory again, this time at Pulau Tiga's jetty.

In the island, we constantly felt like we're in a different country. hehe because there's so many foreigners over there. I think we were the only Malaysians there, apart from the resort staff, ofcourse. Which is an advantage to us, maybe because the staff rarely see Malaysians, they were so nice to us. Or maybe because we are damn gorgeous haha

This is where we had our meals and where you register when you first arrive. There are people who will welcome you and give you some juices while you register.

We then found out that we couldn't take the day tour as it was late when we got to the island. So, we must stay overnight. Cheap plan gone wrong huhu We didn't even bring clothes~!!! Okay, we did, but just one extra pair for the mud bath and ofcourse undergarments. That's it~! So, you'll detect in the pictures that we'll be wearing 2 different tops only hehehe Thank God I brought some lotions to wangi-wangi hoho

We checked in our room (students are so poor, we crashed in 1 room haha can you imagine, 5 girls sharing 3 joined beds hehe) and had lunch. About 2pm, we went to the Volcano Mud pool. I thought it was just around the corner but we had to hike for 2km to get to the mud. Walking through the jungle, we can hear the sounds of various animals, and the air was refreshing~!

It wasn't like you're entering some forbidden jungle, there were markers beside the trail that shows how many meters have you travelled from the resort. When theres a fork in the trail, there is always a sign that tells you which way to go. It was really reassuring and helpful.

2km later, we arrived at our destination. The volcano mud is supposed to be good for the skin hehe so we wasted no time getting into the mud... err, kinda. When we first looked at the mud, it was so.... eww. Eww like a buffalo just took a big dumped in there.

Not so eww now~! Double peace some more~!

There was nobody around so we took our time. I think Epa was the first to hop in. I was the third. Initially, it was so gross but in time, I felt good in that mud. Because it is mud from the volcano, the density is high so we wont drown. My feet never touched the bottom of the mud pool. It is sooooo fun to be in it~!

See, you can't drown in here. You'll float even if you don't want to~!

There were a few minutes of terror for me though. When all of us was happily chatting and swimming in the mud pool, a group of monkeys appeared and crept near and near. They were making lots of noises too~! Honestly, I was terrified~! Our rescuers? Tourists from Hungary. They came and perhaps the monkeys saw that there were quite a number of us there that they decided to leave us alone. The staff did told us about monkeys known to get near people in the pool.

See that yellow thingy below the picture, that's the trail marker. It shows how many meters have you travelled from the resort.

After an eternity of soaking in the mud pool, we decided to head back (mud from head to toe~!). I was imagining running to the blue ocean and let the big waves (not surfing waves, huhu) wash away the muds. Little did I know...

Explorer mode kicked in and we decided to take another route, we figured out that the other route would take us to the same resort, it will just take longer. We were headed to Rocky Beach instead of taking the trail we followed to get to the mud pool originally.

The trail was alot harder where we have to jump to cross some holes. When we arrived at Rocky Beach, I thought it was pretty with all the rocks hence Rocky Beach but it crumbled my hope lah... you know, the whole running to the ocean and all haih... From there, we can see Snake Island.

Behold, Rocky Beach~!

And to top it off, the resort was not there~! So, we have to go back to the trail, went past the volcano mud pool and went back to the original path we took. When we told the staff about our trip in the jungle, they laughed. They, themselves haven't gone to Rocky Beach~!

A little bit tired after the mishap but we went and enjoy the rockless beach at the resort anyway. It was super fun~! I love playing around at the beach. The colour of the sea is pretty and the waves was big. Dudu later confessed that it was the first time she went into the ocean. Which is hard to believe, because she lives very near to one~!

Ninang and Dudu enjoying their dinner. The food was good and it's a buffet~! If you're not full, you can always have seconds or thirds or fourths or... you get the idea. XD

After dinner, we headed to the audio room. Had a blast karaoke-ing the whole night and watching orang putih playing snooker. Epa didn't sing that night, did you?

Audio room... We're picking the songs we wanted to sing hoho

Ninang and I pouring our hearts out at a Westlife number huhu or was it Dancing Queen?

Took a stroll down the beach. I've always thought that strolling along the water edges was a romantic thing. Why is it so romantic huh? Went back to our humble room and Zzz-ed...

I was the first one up in the morning. A rattle on the roof woke me up. Assuming it was some branches, I went out the room and looked around. To my surprise, it was monkeys~! This island sure have lots of monkeys~! Some of them were climbing the trees near the beach and there were those who carefreely walked on top of the roof.

We went back to Kuala Penyu soon after breakfast. Pulau Tiga is such a fascinating place. I would come and visit again someday(hopefully~!). We didn't have time to snorkel, jetski, go fishing and play the banana boat (eh-hem, I'm blaming the fact that we are students again, therefore the lack of fund~!) and I would love to see the Survivor camps. There are trails that would lead to the actual camps of the 2 tribes in Survivor.

I found out later that if you go in groups, you can have a mini Survivor camp~! You can go to the actual Survivor site and make your own camps, cook your own food and even have challenges, just like the real Survivor~!

For information on Pulau Tiga, visit http://pulau-tiga.com/index.html. We went there without bookings and when negotiating, we asked for mark downs and they gave us discounts hoho

The trip was fun~! I loved every moment of it. Maybe it was the picturesque place and ofcourse because it was spent with my dear friends ohohoho
